Till its gone

So I had a pretty emotional weekend.. this is what happend:
Friday around 5pm I went for a run.. shortly after I got back I had really sharp pain.. shooting all over my pelvic area and lower back. I laid down for a bit and took a hot bath. An hour later the pain was gone. I went on with my night and had dinner at my parents house. I went home and went to bed. Around 11pm, I had the same pain, only worse. I woke up and went to the bathroom. I noticed a lot of blood. I knew something was wrong. I went to the ER. About an hour later after having a ultrasound done, I found out I had an ovarian cyst rupture. Apparently it's pretty common. But really scary! They gave me pain killers and told me to follow up with my doctor. I have an appointment for Wednesday. I'm really nervous. I have cyst before but never had one rupture. I'm not sure if it does any damage to your ovaries or what? I want to have kids but always said if I didn't I'd be okay with that, I loveee being a Auntie! But now that I'm faced with the fact that I may not, I'm super sad. I know I can always adopt (which I plan on doing, kids or no kids) I want to have kids eventually, a basketball team if I could (starting 5, only!). So now I gotta wait til Wednesday to find out more info. I'm sure everything will be okay. Just gotta be positive! But it is true, "you don't know what you got till it's gone"! Hope everyone has a blessed week!

Christmas in your heart!

Remember, if Christmas isn't found in your heart, you won't find it under a tree."

~ Charlotte Carpenter.

With the holiday near, I think it's very important to remember with Christmas is really all about. Not the presents, egg nog, caroling, or mistletoe ;) It's about celebrating Christ's birthday and more importantly... with the people you love! Sometimes it's easy to forget with all the ipod's, tv's, and game systems. Like the quote above, presents aren't going to make you happy if you have no love in your heart. This time of the year is about sharing and caring! I donated to blue santa this year.. which is a great cause! It's also a good time to teach children a great lesson. My wonderful Sis in law Abby always has her children take presents to children who are less fortunate. It makes them realize that not every child gets present, and appreciate all they have!

I just love being able to spend this holiday with my family! My brother is recently divorced, and he gets to spend this Christmas with his boys! I'm sooo excited! We're going to the Great Wolf Lodge the 19-22nd =) If you haven't heard of it, check it out :

It's going to be the first Christmas in a couple of years that all of us get to be together.. my parents, my brothers, and their families! It's going to be soooo nice! I'm very thankful, I think family is the best present of all!!!!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday.. and remember to have Christmas in your heart!

Tis the Season.. for BAKING!

Happy Holidays ALL!

A few months ago my friend Bre posted pics of some delicious cookies.. called pillow chocolate chip cookies. Or what I like to call BROOKIES. They are chocolate chip cookies with brownies in the center! Just as delicious as they sound!
My great friend Sarah who is an amazing cupcake baker, gives me at least half a dozen cupcakes when she makes them for her business. & They are amazing!!! In return I've made her brownies and told her I'd make her some Brookies. Well Sarah got in a car accident Friday. Thank GOD, her and her family are okay! The pictures of the wreck were crazy and it's truly a miracle that all the left the accident with was a couple bumps and bruises! So of course, I got to baking.. everyone knows that cookies make everything better! =)

So here are Pics of the homemade Brookie's I made...

I had to bake the brownies first..

Then put the brownies in the center of the cookie dough (Or what I like to call, making brookie babies!)

& here are the Brookies! Taste Delicious as they look!!!

Here's the recipe if you would like to make them...
