21 days and counting... Here are some things I've learned in the last 2 weeks.
1)
God bless handicap bathroom stalls. They are wide enough for me to
turn around in. Shame on a couple of restaurants with no handicap
bathrooms. In these rare cases, I had to either enter or exit the
bathroom backwards because I couldn't turn around in the stupid stall.
2)
You will never fully grasp how big you are - you will most likely
underestimate how big you are. Too many times, I've tried to squeeze
past something only to belly bump the object, person, etc.
3)
It is amazing how much a pregnant body will change to prepare for the
oncoming kid. For instance, did you know, that if your pelvis is TOO
small, your body will adjust. How? The baby settles in your pelvic bone
area and stretches the ligaments. No one tells you that, and no one
tells you that it hurts like a mo' fo'. !!!
4) Because of said small pelvis, I have to stop myself from massaging my crotch in public. (sorry lol)
5) You know that you're at the end of your pregnancy when you feel like you have a bowling ball stuck between your legs.
6)
Although everyone anticipates the due date, you have to add an
additional two weeks in case the kid comes late. No one tells you
that. So my 21 days countdown is actually 35 days. It's NOT something
you want to hear.
7) Everyone will ask you if you are excited. We have NO CLUE on how to answer that. Isn't every expecting
parent "excited"? A part of us wants to tell people.. "no, we're
dreading the arrival of our kid, it's going to ruin our lives.."
8)
You will get hot flashes and the bigger you are, the more uncomfortable
you are. Thank goodness I'm having this baby before the TEXAS HEAT!
9) Sleep is your friend. I think
I'm more tired now than I was in the first trimester - mostly because I
wake up so frequently in the middle of the night. Poor Carlos, he stirs
each time I get up, maybe my pregnancy is prepping him for when the kid
comes.
You know you have an awesome man when he volunteers to
shave your legs for you. I haven't given in yet.. but it's getting mighty tempting!
10) Baby stuff can monopolize your
house! We have so much baby "stuff"
all over our house and the kid isn't even here yet. Not looking forward
to when we start accumulating toys and clothes.
11) Don't drink
the water - you will get pregnant! In my small circle of
friends/family, I know more than my fair share of people that are
preggos.
Weeks pregnant: 37 weeks
Biggest complaints: HUGENESS and yet, I know I'll get bigger and even more achy!
Stretch marks: A few on my belly!
Belly button: Still have one :)
Total weight gained: 19 lbs
Baby movement: lots of hiccups
Swelling: Puffy feet and my rings don't fit anymore
Maternity clothes: Maxi dresses are my best friend!
Overall comfort: not so good - my discomfort level is about an 8 out of 10.

OH BOY, or GIRL =)
Today was a VERY exciting day for us. We got to see our little he or she! The baby actually looked like a baby today and we fell even more in LOVE! Our little baby was sooo cute and very active! He/she kept moving its fist in front of its face and even covered its ears! We got to see hands, feet, nose, knees and the beautiful heart! I can't wait to see the baby again next month :)
We decided to do a Gender Reveal party instead of finding out at the doctor office. So, it was very hard to not actually find out today but we stuck to our guns! We had the office call our best friend Emily who will be making our cake for the party. After we left they called and let her know the sex and she will make the inside of the cake, pink or blue! So, this Saturday with our family and friends we will finally know if its a he or she!! I've been asked frequently if I have a feeling or which I prefer. Well, I've had two very distinct dreams about a baby boy and carrying low/like a ball. Which all points towards BOY. The Chinese Gender chart also says boy! So all signs point to boy BUT you never know! I would be completely happy with a baby boy or a baby girl! Just can't wait to find out so I can start planning!

OH BABY!
That's right... We have a BABY on the way =) Baby Angueira will be here May 6, 2013 and we are BEYOND EXCITED. So, just a recap on the last 13 weeks... I've been sick as a dog, I have no appetite (still til this day), I'm already showing and randomly I haven't gained a pound! I absolutely love being able to hear the baby's heartbeat and in 21 days we will get to find out if we will be having a baby boy or a baby girl!! I can honestly say I have no preference, just want a healthy baby! We will be having a Gender Reveal party in San Antonio with our family and close friends. I can't wait to find out with everyone at the same time!! I just got to keep Los from paying off our doctor to find out before everyone else. Our plan is to have the doctor tell our best friend Emily the sex and she will make one of her wonderful cakes that will have the inside either pink or blue :) We are going with a football/mustache/bow theme lol. Had to compromise with Los, of course! I'll definitely be keeping everyone posted on the party planning and fun to come!! Here is a few pictures from our pregger announcement :)

New Year's Resolution
Okay, so here it goes....
I normally don't give in to the whole New Year's resolution thing but this year I am!
Well obviously I want to futher my career, but luckily I got a promotion this week so I'm already on the right track!
& ...I work out but definitely don't watch what I eat. So this year I'm gonna give up fast food (including Chickfila...ahhhhhh!) and Soda! Eeeeeek! Go big or go home, right?!! Hahaha!
We'll see how far it goes but I definitely want to try my best! I really gotta get back in shape, and since I've had health issues that prevent me from working out here and there.. I really need to watch what I eat! So here's to a New Year, and hopefully a new body! =)
Hope everyone has a wonderful 2011!!!! =)

Till its gone
So I had a pretty emotional weekend.. this is what happend:
Friday around 5pm I went for a run.. shortly after I got back I had really sharp pain.. shooting all over my pelvic area and lower back. I laid down for a bit and took a hot bath. An hour later the pain was gone. I went on with my night and had dinner at my parents house. I went home and went to bed. Around 11pm, I had the same pain, only worse. I woke up and went to the bathroom. I noticed a lot of blood. I knew something was wrong. I went to the ER. About an hour later after having a ultrasound done, I found out I had an ovarian cyst rupture. Apparently it's pretty common. But really scary! They gave me pain killers and told me to follow up with my doctor. I have an appointment for Wednesday. I'm really nervous. I have cyst before but never had one rupture. I'm not sure if it does any damage to your ovaries or what? I want to have kids but always said if I didn't I'd be okay with that, I loveee being a Auntie! But now that I'm faced with the fact that I may not, I'm super sad. I know I can always adopt (which I plan on doing, kids or no kids) I want to have kids eventually, a basketball team if I could (starting 5, only!). So now I gotta wait til Wednesday to find out more info. I'm sure everything will be okay. Just gotta be positive! But it is true, "you don't know what you got till it's gone"! Hope everyone has a blessed week!

Christmas in your heart!
Remember, if Christmas isn't found in your heart, you won't find it under a tree."
~ Charlotte Carpenter.
With the holiday near, I think it's very important to remember with Christmas is really all about. Not the presents, egg nog, caroling, or mistletoe ;) It's about celebrating Christ's birthday and more importantly... with the people you love! Sometimes it's easy to forget with all the ipod's, tv's, and game systems. Like the quote above, presents aren't going to make you happy if you have no love in your heart. This time of the year is about sharing and caring! I donated to blue santa this year.. which is a great cause! It's also a good time to teach children a great lesson. My wonderful Sis in law Abby always has her children take presents to children who are less fortunate. It makes them realize that not every child gets present, and appreciate all they have!
I just love being able to spend this holiday with my family! My brother is recently divorced, and he gets to spend this Christmas with his boys! I'm sooo excited! We're going to the Great Wolf Lodge the 19-22nd =) If you haven't heard of it, check it out :

It's going to be the first Christmas in a couple of years that all of us get to be together.. my parents, my brothers, and their families! It's going to be soooo nice! I'm very thankful, I think family is the best present of all!!!!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday.. and remember to have Christmas in your heart!

Tis the Season.. for BAKING!
Happy Holidays ALL!
A few months ago my friend Bre posted pics of some delicious cookies.. called pillow chocolate chip cookies. Or what I like to call BROOKIES. They are chocolate chip cookies with brownies in the center! Just as delicious as they sound!
My great friend Sarah who is an amazing cupcake baker, gives me at least half a dozen cupcakes when she makes them for her business. & They are amazing!!! In return I've made her brownies and told her I'd make her some Brookies. Well Sarah got in a car accident Friday. Thank GOD, her and her family are okay! The pictures of the wreck were crazy and it's truly a miracle that all the left the accident with was a couple bumps and bruises! So of course, I got to baking.. everyone knows that cookies make everything better! =)
So here are Pics of the homemade Brookie's I made...
I had to bake the brownies first..
Then put the brownies in the center of the cookie dough (Or what I like to call, making brookie babies!)
& here are the Brookies! Taste Delicious as they look!!!
Here's the recipe if you would like to make them...
